“Panther Respect Integrity Dedication Excellence”

Welcome to WSHS!
We are a comprehensive high school of approximately 550 students with a building staff of almost 70 individuals committed to providing the best possible learning environment for our students to learn and grow. Seventy-nine percent of the WSHS teaching staff have a masters degree or higher.  Our academic programming is rigorous and covers a broad spectrum.  We offer “dual-credit” courses in three different curricular areas, taught on our own campus by our own faculty, which provide students with the opportunity to earn college credit at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Students can earn vocational training in a fully equipped woods lab, professional-grade greenhouse and full-service auto lab. Our fine arts department provides students with excellent experiences ranging from the visual to the dramatic arts. Students have the opportunity to participate in several different bands, vocal groups and theatre productions…all performing in a state-of-the-art auditorium with professional sound, light and stage systems. Our special education and academic assistance departments serve a diverse population and are committed to preparing our students for life beyond high school with a variety of transitionary experiences and opportunities.

Athletically, we offer a wide array of sports as a member of the Coulee Conference. We also provide students with opportunities to compete at the interscholastic level in hockey, gymnastics and alpine skiing. Our athletes compete at a high level and can be seen representing WSHS at the state level on a regular basis.

We are very proud of our school! While this website is new and many parts are still under construction, please take some time to browse around and enjoy the information we do provide here. We are always open to visitors and would love to have the chance to show you around our school and talk with you about what we have to offer. We are a First Class school that takes great pride in establishing Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence as our cornerstones.
