International Dot Day! The Elementary has been "Dotted"

On Tuesday, September 15th, WSES took part of International Dot Day! Teachers had their class read or watch the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and take part of creating their very own dot. The Dot is a story about a young girl named Vashti who does not think she is very creative and artistic. Her teacher dares her to “make her mark” and so she begins with a single dot. She quickly realizes she can do much better than a simple dot and begins to explore with making all types of other dots. Her creativity, bravery and talent blooms tremendously and she even ends up inspiring another student to make their own mark. Everyone had a blast making their own dots on this special day. The hallways are filled with some colorful and beautiful works of art by the elementary students!
