Wednesday, October 22nd is Unity Day in our Community (click for images)

10/16/2014 11:16 am

Wednesday, October 22nd is Unity Day in our Community.  In celebration of uniting against bullying and building compassion, we would like to everyone to wear orange that day.
Unity Day will be celebrated throughout the Coulee Region among schools, businesses and all of our neighboring communities.  The tagline that we have adopted for this day is "Compassion Lives Here".  By wearing orange, we are hoping that we raise awareness and encourage one another to show their support for that powerful statement.
Additionally, Jen Livingston and WKBT are hoping to highlight Unity Day on air throughout the day.  They have asked that we submit photos or videos of our community taking part.  Specifically, they have asked for:
#Compassion Lives Here
We are hoping that along with people wearing orange, they will make a sign with the tagline on it – or a short video chanting that in various schools, homes and businesses.
Please join us for Unity Day and wear ORANGE October 22nd and help us show that Compassion Lives Here in West Salem!!!
