New Race/Ethnicity Requirements for 2010-2011
Starting with the school year 2010-2011, the Department of Education is requiring school districts to collect data on individual students race and ethnic categories as set by the federal government. The DPI does not report individual student data to the federal government but does report the total number of students in various categories in each school. In early May, we will be e-mailing a letter out through Skyward requesting that you validate each child’s race and ethnic category via Skyward Family Access. Please follow the instructions as directed on the letter. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
