The School District of West Salem appreciates all of our volunteers (18+) who sign up to share their time and talents with our students and staff. Our volunteers provide assistance in a variety of areas including in our classrooms, library media centers, field trips, athletic events, and more.
All volunteers are required to submit a background check before volunteering. We ask that you please submit the background check form linked below at least one week in advance of the time in which you wish to volunteer by sending it to Monica Quinn, District Office Administrative Assistant at email@example.com or Crystal Becker, Director of Human Resources at firstname.lastname@example.org or by dropping it off in the District Office or one of our school buildings. You will not hear back from us within the week of submission unless there is an issue. If you do not receive communication within one week, you have been approved as a volunteer. Once you are approved, background checks are good for four years.
As a volunteer, you are responsible for reviewing the Volunteer Handbook and familiarizing yourself with the expectations. In addition, please review school board policy 8120 - Volunteers. If you have any questions regarding volunteering, please contact your school's main office.
