Nutrition & Safety Standards
The West Salem School District participates in the National School Breakfast Program, the National School Lunch Program, and the Wisconsin School Day Milk Program. All of the guidelines set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture are followed in all of our programs.
Included in every offering are the five components of the balanced meal; meat/protein alternative, low-fat or fat-free milk, bread/grain equivalent, fruits, and vegetables.
