“What Fuels You” Marquis Scholarship: (Please read carefully before applying.) All applicants are expected to read the Terms and Conditions listed below, before applying for the Marquis “What Fuels You” Scholarship. When the applicant submits their application, they are accepting the Terms and Conditions as outlined below. The Marquis Industrial Complex is located in Hennepin, Illinois and is leading by example in becoming a carbon-neutral industrial complex. Today Marquis is the largest dry-mill ethanol facility in the world, producing 400 million gallons annually between Marquis Energy - Illinois located in Hennepin and Marquis Energy - Wisconsin located in Necedah, WI. Our robust team in the United States, Europe, and Asia produce and market low carbon feed and fuel solutions delivered around the world. Learn more about us at www.marquisincorporated.com. “What Fuels You” Terms & Conditions How much is the scholarship? A total of $10,000 will be awarded, with up to (2) $2,500 winners. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and must be used immediately for the following academic year of award date. Who is the scholarship paid to? Scholarships will be paid to successful applicants. What is the eligibility of the scholarship? Any individual who will be enrolled in a full-time, undergraduate degree program at a two-year or four-year university, college or technical school. Applicants applying reside within a 90-mile radius of Marquis Energy - Wisconsin facility located in Necedah, WI. When are due dates and when will I be notified of results? Applications will be open from February 17, 2023 through April 1, 2023. Applicants can expect results by the second week of April, 2023. How will the application be reviewed and awards selected? Awards will be based on “What Fuels You” application scoring rubric. Can my award be rejected, denied, or canceled? Marquis reserves the right to modify or cancel any aspect of the scholarship program and/or any related information contained on the scholarship website, in each case, without prior notice. Marquis shall not be responsible, and specifically disclaims any responsibility, for the consequences of any such modification or cancelation. Marquis also reserves the right to accept or reject (for any or no reason) any application for a scholarship, and Marquis has no obligation to grant a scholarship to any applicant, to renew any scholarship once it has been granted or to offer employment or an internship to any applicant. How will the scholarship be accepted? Successful applicants for the Scholarship will receive notice of award the first week of April. The offer letter will outline how to accept, reject or, at the discretion of Marquis, defer the scholarship. If a successful applicant does not respond to the scholarship offer by the date outlined in the offer letter, their scholarship will be rescinded. Application details: ● Applicant Activities and Involvement. ● Essay Question #1 response (500 - 750 words) to the question: "How will you follow your passion and change the world?” ● Essay Question #2 response (500 - 750 words) to either question: "How can biofuels reduce our greenhouse gas emissions?" OR “How does American Ethanol play a role in supporting rural economies of scale through the production of feed at fuel?” ● Fill-in field for degree of study or planned degree of study ● One letter of reference from a professor, instructor, adviser, teacher, supervisor, church leader or other professional PRIVACY When you visit the Website, you automatically will give Marquis the right to receive and collect certain information about you.
