Jeremy Hoff teaches 4th grade (This is his 3rd year as a classroom teacher). Prior to this he served as an elementary special education teacher in the district for 6 years. He studied MC-EA Regular Education and Cross Categorical Special Education at the University of WI-La Crosse. He also attended Viterbo University where he earned his Masters in Educational Leadership. He also holds his K-12 principal licensure.
Why did you become a teacher? My parents were a major factor in my decision to pursue education, however, it was the impressions left upon me by my own teacher which ultimately lead me to pursue a career in education. I knew that I wanted to give back to a system that had given so much to me!
What do you love most about the West Salem School District? A couple items I love about the West Salem School District are a vision that matches my own, forward thinking approach, value placed on community, and the collegiality shared amongst all stakeholders.
Favorite classroom memory: Although I cannot determine one favorite classroom memory, I have made numerous memories along side students while at the OEC. I know the students, nor I, will ever forget these experiences. What a unique and wonderful opportunity we have at our disposal for students to engage with one another in the outdoors!

I currently reside in Onalaska where I live with my amazing wife of 5 years Dana and out 15 month old son Everett. She is a middle school educator in a neighboring school district. Everett simply put is the best! My parents reside in Boyceville, WI and I have them to thank for the quality values they have instilled in me which helped lead me to become a teacher. My two younger brothers live with their families in Menomonie and Wauwatosa WI.
When I’m not busy teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife (traveling/biking/kayaking) and continuing to grow my educational skills. I have a passion for the outdoors which includes like hunting, fishing, and running. I also enjoy playing, coaching (Middle School CC), and watching sports. Go Badgers, Packers, Brewers, and of course Panthers! I am extremely passionate about extracurricular activities as I value how they support and strengthen in-school connections and learning. Lastly, I am also a real estate agent who finds great pleasure in assisting families in the buying and selling of their home/property!
