Kelli S. Martin is originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin.  Raised on French Island, Mrs. Martin attended Logan High School in La Crosse. She received private piano instruction from MaryAnn Buettner and Elizabeth Mittelsteadt.  She also received private flute instruction from Vicki Bigley, who, at the time, was the principle flautist for the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra.

Mrs. Martin received her Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental & General Music Education from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where she studied flute under Jon C. Meyer and Lewis A. Schmidt.  Her piano instruction was under Marlene Wondergem.

Her first two professional years were spent as the beginning band instructor for the Wausau Area Catholic Schools in Wausau, Wisconsin and for St. Mary’s School in Marathon, Wisconsin. The next three years found her teaching elementary music and beginning band for the Three Lakes School District in Wisconsin’s Northwoods.  Mrs. Martin joined the music faculty of the West Salem Schools in the fall of 2002.  She teaches third and fifth grade general music at West Salem Elementary School, is the assistant band director at West Salem High School, and also offers two music elective courses at the high school (Music Theory and Music Appreciation).

Mrs. Martin is very active with the music program at St. James Catholic Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, serving as canter coach and accompanist.   Mrs. Martin currently resides in La Crosse, Wisconsin with her husband and their three daughters.
